The end of summer!

Today was the first day of school and the girls were very excited to start a new year, with new teachers, new friends and new experiences.  As we waited for the school bus I asked them what their favorite part of summer was.   Each of them listed the many adventures we had, but when it came down to the favorites, it was simply spending time together with family and friends.  I am so happy that each of those favorites I was a part of and remember just as fondly as they do.  But some of my favorites are Jace riding his two wheeler, going just as fast as his sisters, he also learned how to swing himself  (my job just keeps getting easier and easier)  and the excitement he has playing hide and seek with the girls.  I loved eating breakfast and lunch al fresco (that is one of Sydney's favorite words), swimming and enjoying a good book in the sunshine (Ellie met her goal and then some).  Unfortunately the summer break is over but now I am looking forward to the falling leaves, apple pies, cool walks in the evening and all that Autumn has to offer.
