Parent Teacher Conferences

Yesterday we met with Jace's preschool teachers for conferences.  He is doing great, they said he is a great listener, plays well with his friends, participates and understands rules.  He did well on knowing his letters, colors, shapes and counting.  Ms Magoon says "He is such a sweet boy, we really love having him in the class.  He is very considerate and polite."

Sydney's conferences were last week, her teacher is still amazed at how well she listens and is a leader for her classmates.  Apparently there are some challenges in Mrs Peterson's class but Sydney continues to set a great example.  Her reading and math are at second grade level, and the teacher continues to work at challenging her.  Her teacher said her writing skills are also coming along and she is understanding how to write sentences correctly.  Sydney also has been enjoying science and learning about the solar system.

Ellie is also doing great, her reading level is at 6th grade and her Math level is 4th grade, this year she had state testing and her scores were above normal.  The past couple of weeks her class has been working on programming and her teacher said she is doing great, she understands and is enjoying the challenges of testing their project.

With such wonderful conferences we treated the kids to a DESSERT only dinner, they loved it!

One of the teachers asked if I was a stay at home mom, she said she can see how much of an effect it has on the kids.  She gave me a nice "thumbs up" and said to continue to do what we are doing.
